So spring training kicked off today. Yippee! I was also surprised by being able to watch my Giants on MLB Network, which is the coolest channel ever, by the way. I didn’t make a post earlier, but I laid some money on the Giants to win at +110 for a good start to the season.
I won’t count it in my posted picks record, but a win is a win. Looking forward, I think that most picks are going to be dogs for the most part. Most of my picks are dogs overall, as this is where I find the most value, but in spring training especially, it looks like the homefield advantage is about -130 looking at the early lines. I can’t imagine that the true homefield advantage in FL or AZ can be that much of a determining factor, so I will be atking that into consideration when picking spring training games.
