Hey everyone.
I am driving to Arizona tonight to watch some Spring Training games and will be there until Monday. I am planning on continuing to provide daily picks, but I’m not sure what my internet situation will be in Scottsdale. I am hoping that the hotel I’m staying at will have wireless access… So if I miss a day or two, don’t bite my head off!
Note to email subscribers:
It has come to my attention that daily pick emails have been being delivered after the afternoon games start. The service I use to send emails gives me a fixed 2 hour daily window that it sends the picks out, and if I don’t have them posted when that delivery window closes, no picks go out that day. I have made a few tweaks to try and get the picks email sent out more reliably, but I am looking into a new email delivery service that gives me more control over when emails get sent out.
If I do change email services, I may need the current email subscribers to re-opt in to the new mailing list. I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but I will send out another blast post/email if and when the change takes place.
Thanks, and good luck on the MLB bets!
-Nick
p.s. 0-2 on the morning games isn’t a good way to start the day… ick.
I have made an update for today’s picks. I made the Nationals’ pick worth 2 units and added the Braves for 1 unit. For more info, view the original post.
Hey all. A full slate of MLB spring training games start less than a week away on Wednesday, February 25th when all 32 Major League Baseball teams are scheduled to play. I plan on posting picks for the entire preseason, although these picks are for fun only, and should be followed at your own risk. I may not even wager any money on any Spring Training games. I will be in Scottsdale for part of the preseason to follow my favorite team, and may not be able to update these picks daily until closer to when the regular season starts in early April.
It should be needless to say that betting on Spring Training can be frustrating and you have to get very lucky to make any money, or be an absolute fanatic, who pays attention to all the minor league prospects that play regularly in Spring Training games. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) I am not that much of a fanatic and take a statistically driven approach to picking baseball games, so the lack of consistent stats and generally inconsistent nature of Spring Training make it difficult for me to pick winners.
That being said, I will post any picks that I make on this site for you to see. Bottom line: Betting on Spring Training should be done at your own risk.
